On May 2, HOC held its HOME Clinic # 37 at the Golden Avenue School in Lemon Grove, CA. This HOME Clinic was held in collaboration with the Lemon Grove Public Library. Over 110 persons attended the Clinic, as well as educational sessions on foreclosure prevention and on foreclosure and bankruptcy options. Over 60 families received individual counseling from HUD approved housing agencies. Over 20 professional volunteers counseled homeowners who are facing difficulties in making monthly mortgage payments. Information about local legal services, FHA Secure, and other relevant information was provided to local homeowners. A customer satisfaction ratio of 98% was achieved at this HOME Clinic.
