On March 25th, HOC held it's second Housing Counselors Roundtable at its offices located at 4305 University Avenue, San Diego, CA. Over 31 housing counselors from HUD approved housing counseling agencies and other nonprofits attended the roundtable. The workshop covered key issues such as i) Mortgage Reductions by Bankruptcy Judges/Realtor Issued, presented by Yamila Ayad, HOC's Board Member; ii) Ethics, Performing Counseling for a fee, by Ashley Abano, Esq.; iii) Affordability and Stability Plan, by Mary Ann Erickson of Community Housing Works, and iv) Homeowner Options: When Loan Modifications and Refinance is not successful, by Myrna Pascual, HUD Field Policy Management. The event was moderated by Vino Pajanor, President & Executive Director of the Housing Opportunities Collaborative.
