In collaboration with National Council La Raza, HOC presented a HOME Clinic at the San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall C. Over 600 homeowners attended this Clinic, and over 350 families received individual counseling from HUD approved housing agencies, from volunteer attorneys and from mortgage counselors.Members of the San Diego County Bar Association assisted with counseling the distressed homeowners who faced foreclosure.Information about local legal services, Fair Housing,FHA Secure, and other information were given to homeowners. National Council La Raza gave educational presentations on credit/budget management and financial awareness.
